To anyone considering AttaBoy Plumbing...
On December 21, 2010, I had a broken toilet flange and called AttaBoy Plumbing based on their Google reviews and website recommendations. They sent out a technician who diagnosed the problem and said it would take 3 hours to complete the job for a charge of $391. I thought this sounded like a long time to complete a fairly simple job but I trusted their estimate and thought there must be more involved than appeared to me. To my dismay, the technician was in and out in less than an hour.
In the end, I was charged over $300 an hour for labor and about $20 for parts. (I did talk to the owner over the phone complaining about the high cost and he basically said tough luck, that's the way we do business.) I have no complaints regarding their response time or work quality but I would NOT recommend calling AttaBoy or any other plumbing company that charges a flat rate.
Flat rate pricing seems to me to be a marketing ploy used to justify exorbitant labor rates while taking advantage of people to whom they have already charged $89 for a diagnosis fee.
