NEA Construction is a contractor that YOU WANT TO STAY AWAY FROM. NEA Construction started the renovation on my house in March 2012 and they are not even at 50% completion as of today. The contractor always has an excuse on why he is delayed. It ranges from the plumber to the electrician (even though they are his subcontractors) and to even Hurricane Sandy (even though that was in October 2012) up to now! It has gotten so bad that we have retained a lawyer. NEA contractor claims that he is an architect. If so, why does the NY State Education Department not recognize that? The work that NEA has done so far in my house especially in the cellar is substandard, borderline fraudulent and completely negligent as NEA did not follow the plans for the new steel beam. Even with the plethora of evidence against this negligence, NEA continues to insist that he is in the right. My architect let him have it and denounced him for what he is: a deceitful, lying contractor who is to be regarded with total suspicion. I would never use NEA CONSTRUCTION again.
