My wife and I just moved from New York City 2 months ago, so this is the first time we ever had a garage, hence the first time we had a garage door opener. The remote control stopped working a few days ago, and I called California Coastal Garage Doors expecting to set up an appointment and probably end up spending $100 on the service and a new remote.
But after walking me through some troubleshooting, Fred suggesting cleaning the tabs on the inside of the remote that got corroded, and it worked like a charm! Maybe I'm used to New York City companies that think nothing of overcharging customers with a needless service call, but it was so refreshing to deal with an honest company!!! Fred recommended that I take my wife out to dinner with the money I saved and I will do just that.
I hope I don't have any other garage door issues anytime soon, but if I do, I know whom I'll be calling! Thank you, Fred!
