This was our first cruise ever and we chose Alaska. We boarded Star Princess and we had a great time even though we can't participate in every event because we have a 2-year-old in tow. Make sure you get a room with balcony because the scenery was breathtaking and the air was so refreshing. We even saw whales and other wildlife from the comfort of our room's balcony. The food on the cruise was abundant with several choices of fine dining and they were pretty good. Our room steward was nice and helpful. One drawback was we are alittle bit bothered by the smell of cigarette smoke. We couldn't find the source but We suspected it's our neighbor who smoked in his room eventhough it's prohibited.
