It was a fantastic and majestic experience ever!!! If you love the wilderness, Alaska is for you!!! The air is so fresh, the surrounding and atmosphere was the heaven on earth. It is truly a heaven, at least that how I feel. I always wonder what heaven is really like, when I came to Alaska, I got the answered. We took a helicopter to the glacier and was able to walk around this glacier for about 30 minutes. It was an experience of a life time. We saw a dozen of whale, it was spectacular!!!! Words can not expressed it. You have to experience it yourself to believe what a truly god creation is!!! more

From the captain to the crew they strive to make your day memorable. it's not hard to do. The cruise in and out of the fjord is second to none. Would I recommend Adventure Bound Alaska? YES I would... it is not to be missed while in Juneau Alaska. If there is one trip I would want to do again....and again and again.... You get the idea. This is it....DON""T pass on this trip, it's worth every cent. Perfect 10 all away around. There's a tear in my eye knowing I'm going to Anchorage this year and not Juneau. I'll be back and Tracy's arm is on my redo bucket list again. Beyond words not imagination. It's the real deal.......GO! more

Make sure you bring your camera and have it all charged up because great photo opportunities abound on this expedition. Yes it is a long day but it is worth it....it takes 2 1/2 hours to arrive at this most amazing place....consisting of glaciers, icebergs, calving, eagles, waterfalls, seals ect ...definitely would recommend more

One of the most memorable experiences I have had. Sure the ride out is 2 hours but well worth it when you get there (most people either snooze or take an electronic device to pass the time) The crew are friendly & amenities well organised - food, hot chocolate (my kids loved) coffee etc. all available when needed & the boat is very comfortable & warm (it gets really cold up near the glaciers) Clean, functioning toilets etc. The boat is small enough to get in close & there is plenty of deck space to get a good view. The skipper was excellent, really going out of his way to get super close up to ice bergs, glaciers & waterfalls, he also adjusts the boat position to give a variety of views - excellent & you get great visibility whether on deck or inside. The glaciers themselves were just breathtaking & we were lucky enough to see calving too & experience ""the waves"". My whole family ( including kids 5 & 7) loved this trip. To end it off we were lucky enough to site Orca on the way back, again the skipper manoeuvred us to a good position & the Orca bid farewell by diving directly underneath the boat, fantastic. Book this trip! more

This was our first cruise ever and we chose Alaska. We boarded Star Princess and we had a great time even though we can't participate in every event because we have a 2-year-old in tow. Make sure you get a room with balcony because the scenery was breathtaking and the air was so refreshing. We even saw whales and other wildlife from the comfort of our room's balcony. The food on the cruise was abundant with several choices of fine dining and they were pretty good. Our room steward was nice and helpful. One drawback was we are alittle bit bothered by the smell of cigarette smoke. We couldn't find the source but We suspected it's our neighbor who smoked in his room eventhough it's prohibited. more

The crew was friendly and efficient. They serve sandwiches, cup-of-soup and hot drinks for lunch. The captain was knowledgeable and engaging. So if you don't mind a long day, go for it. more

The cruise through the Tracy Arm is an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. If one wishes to see the real beauty of Alaska, then this full day cruise is a must.\r The cruise departed at 8 am from Juneau dock on a misty day with light rain and clouds on the horizon. Soon the capton announced the sighting of two whales. He steered the boat as close as possible for all to watch and click the diving whales.\r As the boat entered the Tracy Arm channel, it was like entering a dream world, tall mountains covered with snow sending down waterfalls. Soon we sighted three bears, and beautifully shaped floating icebergs with birds sitting on them. Further the capton almost entered a very big waterfall for all to get a feel of the force of water cascading down.\r As we progressed, the sea was filled with innumerable floating icebergs, some of them a deep sky blue colour. The capton took a full circle around two huge icebergs for all to see the blue coloured crystalline ice structure.\r Finally, we reached the Sawyer glacier, a beautiful sight. We were taken very close so that we could experience the carvings from near. Later, we were taken to another arm of Sawyer glacier which though smaller, was a sight to watch.\r Overall, this was a real adventure that we would like to do again, if possible. more

I got to see Tracy Arm from the deck of the Oosterdam, a cruise ship in the Hoilland America Line. The trip up was cloudy and overcast, with a lot of fog. The captain wasn't even sure if we'd be abl;e to ener the fjord because of the fog and mist. When we got there, the fog had lifted and we were able to make the entire trip in for an upclose look at the Sawyer Glacier, a truly beautiful sight. The ship went in through the narrow, high hill lined fjord at a slow speed, giving the passengers a great opportunity to see the Alaskan landscape up close. And wonderful it was. High green mountounous hills with large areas of colorful rocks, pristene skies and water and an almosy mystical aura. It was a fantastic bit of unspoiled terrain. more
