I stopped by for dinner last night. I sat down at the bar and asked for a glass of soda-water while I perused the menu and was told - ""that'll be $2.95 OK?""... Really?! I hadn't been in the restaurant 5 minutes before the penny-pinching began. Give me a break - I'm a business traveler who lives on the road and takes good care of establishments that take good care of me. Short-Story: Outback Dublin got my $3.00 for soda water (congratulations), but they lost out on any bar-bill profit and any follow on business... Penny wise and dollar foolish. Not going back. You're free to run your restaurant any way you see fit - I vote with my feet and my money. $3.00 for water... Good luck with that.
