They overcharged, over promised, did not deliver on time and damaged some very valuable items of mine. My move was primarily antiques. I was assured that they would handle my furniture with kid clothes. I incurred nearly $2,000 worth of damage instead. \r \r I was told that they had insurance to cover the damage. THEY DO NOT. They use a 3rd party mediator that determines what, if any Econo Van lines is required to reimburse the customer.\r \r After a frustrating amount of calls and emails to John and Alex (neither would provide their last names) they finally submitted my claim.\r \r Some of my furniture was so badly damaged and not repairable as pieces were crushed beyond repair. The pieces that were repaired will never be the same.\r \r Their 3rd party mediator (not an insurance company)determined that Econo Van lines should reimburse me a measly $100 for the damage I incurred.\r \r I do not recommend Econo Van Lines unless you are hiring them to haul trash. They will make you lots of up front promises. They do not properly store, deliver on a timely fashion and they DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE. They left furniture behind and some pieces never showed up at all. When they did arrive at their destination, they were so badly damaged as to add additional costs to the move close to $2,000.\r \r Lastly, Econ Van lines is rate D with the BBB. They have not been in business for long and have had 13 complaints against them to date. more
