I dropped my laptop and realized it was no longer charging - my computer was able to turn on and I was still able to use it. In fact, I used it for two full hours after I dropped it. I brought it to this repair location and was told I needed to pay $40 up front for the labor and I would get a quote for the parts once it had been inspected. \r

I am very knowledgable on the topic of computers - I worked for 2 years for Apple tech support solving thousands of technical issues ... so I was very surprised when I got a call from them saying I needed a new logic board and case costing $305. My logic board could not have been defective because my computer worked after the fall! It is simply not possible.\r

I declined to have it repaired and went to pick up my computer only to find out it was no longer was able to turn on. Let me write this in caps to be clear: MY COMPUTER WORKED (other than charging) AND WAS ABLE TO TURN ON WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO WHEN I PICKED IT UP.\r
