I was very disappointed in the customer service. I can not imagine they retain many clients. This is my first spa treatment that I booked in the area since moving hear from South Jersey. I bought a deal from Living Social for a massage and pedicure. When I called to make an appointment, I thought the receptionist sounded a bit annoyed that I was calling but I ignored that and made the appointment for a Saturday at noon. On the Wdnesday prior to my treatment, I received a message indicating that I did not show for my appointment so they were canceling and I just lost my money in a very matter of fact manner. I called back and informed the person who answered the phone that I received this message and informed her that my appointment was on Saturday at noon. She checked the schedule and indicated that I was written in their appointment book for Saturday and on the date of the phone call. This person did not give any explanation and did not appear to be very apologetic. On the date of the appointment, I rushed home from a bike ride only to find out that I was locked out of the house. I called the spa 30 minutes prior to my appointment hoping to be able to push the appointment back and explained that I was locked out of the house and was waiting for my husband to return home to let me in. I was told that I had forfeited the full value of the deal and that I would now have to pay full price for the services. I found this unacceptable. It became very apparent that there is a problem with the customer service at this place if during a customer's moment of distress there could not be some accommodations made. I am reading reviews from the other customers who recently stated that Minerva gives a great massage. Unfortunately, I will never know this because instead of accommodating a potential return customer, a bad taste was left in my mouth about this spa before I even got there. It is important to me that me and my business are respected.
