I just returned from a pedicure at all about me salon in cranford nj. First let me say that the customer service here is very poor. They are very unfriendly and i felt a generally a cold uninviting feeling. The owner seemed especially aloof and cold. They are more concerned about themselves as one hairstylist was curling her own hair, nail girl was touching up her own nails and the other lady was having coffee and eating and chatting with the other employees. Nobody greeted me upon arrival and no goodbye when i left or thank you or anything atall. They seemed very annoyed that i was there the whole time. The girl who did my pedicure was very inexperienced. There was no lengthy spa pedicure for $30!! which was described as lasting one hour...it was fast and inadequate, most time spent with me soaking my feet in the water. There was no attention to detail and zero massaging as im used to from less expensive places, very hurried.I felt like my girlfrined was doing it not a professional... This place is also very over-priced and i expected better. Even though i used a coupon which are plentiful here, plus groupon deals and specials,i assume since business is so bad; but still , i would never go back. i left with a sour taste in my mouth and i wish i had spent my time and money elsewhere. The place was deserted, i didnt see one single customer the entire time i was there, i guess that is a reflection of there poor customer service and the fact that they are soo overpriced. I cant imagine that they will be in business much longer. more

I was very disappointed in the customer service. I can not imagine they retain many clients. This is my first spa treatment that I booked in the area since moving hear from South Jersey. I bought a deal from Living Social for a massage and pedicure. When I called to make an appointment, I thought the receptionist sounded a bit annoyed that I was calling but I ignored that and made the appointment for a Saturday at noon. On the Wdnesday prior to my treatment, I received a message indicating that I did not show for my appointment so they were canceling and I just lost my money in a very matter of fact manner. I called back and informed the person who answered the phone that I received this message and informed her that my appointment was on Saturday at noon. She checked the schedule and indicated that I was written in their appointment book for Saturday and on the date of the phone call. This person did not give any explanation and did not appear to be very apologetic. On the date of the appointment, I rushed home from a bike ride only to find out that I was locked out of the house. I called the spa 30 minutes prior to my appointment hoping to be able to push the appointment back and explained that I was locked out of the house and was waiting for my husband to return home to let me in. I was told that I had forfeited the full value of the deal and that I would now have to pay full price for the services. I found this unacceptable. It became very apparent that there is a problem with the customer service at this place if during a customer's moment of distress there could not be some accommodations made. I am reading reviews from the other customers who recently stated that Minerva gives a great massage. Unfortunately, I will never know this because instead of accommodating a potential return customer, a bad taste was left in my mouth about this spa before I even got there. It is important to me that me and my business are respected. more

I was extremely disappointed in the service I received. I had bought a Living Social deal for a 1 hour massage, blow out, and glass of sangria with two girlfriends to have a fun spa day. We attempted scheduling on 3 separate occasions for dates weeks in advance, and either they “could not fit us in” or had to call us back – and never did. Since out voucher was running up soon, I decided to schedule mine alone. I once again had issues scheduling a time with them. According to their website, they are open until 9pm Wednesday through Friday. When I tried to book an appointment for 7pm on a Wednesday, they told me they were not open. I tried again for Thursday, and the latest they could book me was 6:45pm. This is obviously difficult for anyone who works in Manhattan, but I was able to leave early to make it happen. While my massage was fine, my hair experience was absolutely awful. The woman could not have been more annoyed that she had to wash and dry my hair at 7:45pm. She rushed washing and conditioning my hair. It did not feel like the conditioner was even washed out completely. She and the manager/owner kept commenting on how long it was taking my hair to dry. I was not offered my glass of wine that came with the voucher. I was practically thrown out the door. If you are not open until 9pm, perhaps change the hours on your website. Over all, it was a terrible experience. I will not be returning. more

They burned my wife's face and really could care less. For me to go out of my way to write this, it had to be a very good reason. more

I used a Groupon for their Spa Manicure and Pedicure. The place has serious hygiene issues - the floor is filthy, and since there is no place to put your bag by the pedicure stations, I had to put it on the floor. The rug by the door looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in at least a week, but most importantly there was a long hair stuck to the cup with the manicure instruments. I pointed it out to the manicurist who replaced it with a new one, at least I hope that it was new. The pedicure was OK, nothing outstanding, the so called spa manicure lasted all of 10 minutes, the lotion was applied only to my wrists. While she was working on my hands, I had my feet in a portable nail polish dryer. When she finished applying the polish to my fingernails, she simply picked up the dryer, put it on the table and invited me to place my hands inside. It was visibly filthy! more

This was a very so-so spa experience at what I thought was a higher end salon and spa. I had a mani/pedi and have had better ones at the nail salons in strip malls. It seemed like there was some sort of tension amongst the staff. There was a limited selection of colors and only 2 mani tables and 2 pedi tables. The files, buffers and dryers were outdated (my nails are uneven and didn't even dry completely after over 20 min.) The polish job was very streaky. I can't recommend this place. more

The BEST of the Better than the Best! 4/16/2010

I found this spa and salon by accident, and let me tell you, it was the greatest mistake of my life! It is conveniently located, open 5 days a week, including mornings and evenings, and is very happy to accomodate all of my needs. I have had massages, manicures, pedicures, highlights, and blowouts, and I must say, I have NEVER had a single disappointing experience in my life! Lauren is a world class hair stylist! She is such a warm and friendly person and extremely professional, with a great attention to detail. Vicky was able to give me the absolute GREATEST pedicure I have ever had in my life! I wish I could have one of her pedis daily. Denise, a masseuse at the spa, is extremely knowledgable about the body, the effects of massage, and I must say, she has the most incredible hands in the WORLD! From the owner, Gina, through all the staff, It's All About ""ME"" Salon and Spa has been and will continue to be my greatest experience since moving to Cranford! Pros: Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, good location more
