Editorial review from Citysearch 5/11/2013

This review (where I state my opinions and feelings only) is for anyone who is considering buying from AllPcZone or ComputerLx.com. They might have good prices but you won't necessarily get what you order and pay for, and I think you will regret it if you buy from them like I did.\r \r I'm talking blue screens, not getting what I paid for, and being told the guy is ""offended"" that I complained about getting a broken computer. They won't take it back.\r \r Read their terms of service: even if they send you a broken computer you can only get 80% of your money back. They will keep the remaining 20%, even though that appears to violate the laws based on my reading of them. Maybe they think they're above the law?\r \r They made it real clear to me that their ""money back guarantee"" is only 80% of what you pay, and had the nerves to tell me it wasn't even broken, it just wasn't working, or something to that effect.\r \r If you search around, you will see a lot of the exact same reviews scattered across the internet (like ""Wow!"", etc.) They are identical reviews and always praise this multimillion dollar business. I think they are ""fakes"" made by these guys. The sad truth is below.\r \r This company appears to be defending themselves against accusations, as an informed consumer the question you should ask is, why are there so many upset customers that have bought from this company that they need to defend themselves so much? Each time they defend themselves they present it as if it's an isolated incident where the customer is at fault.\r \r Their customer support appears to have been accused of trying to blackmail people, if you search around you can see them threatening to say ""RUN AWAY..."" from one guy's business in various reviews, unless he revised his negative review about them or something. Sounds like a very shady place, in my opinion. They've even been accused oft trying to ruin their customers, like try to get them fired or destroy their business if they don't change their review.\r \r Is that risk worth it to you?\r \r So I ordered a computer from them and they didn't give me what I paid for, but still charged me for what I asked for. They made an inferior substitution of one of the components, a cheap substitution, while still charging me full price. Although they eventually admitted that they made this mistake they didn't send me any money for the difference, but wanted me to pay shipping (at least one way) to get the correct part.\r \r So I think I was definitely cheated by them, it's like you order 2 pizzas with extra cheese and they charge you for it then when you get them you see there's no extra cheese, and they say ""yeah we admit our mistake but you can't have a refund because of what our purchasing contract says.""\r \r Maybe they would make it right if I agreed to pay for their mistake by paying shipping (one way) for the wrong part. But I'm over it now, I just don't want anyone else to suffer like I did. I mean the computer wasn't stable, it would crash every hour (sometimes more frequently) when I got it!\r \r So this business likely has 5-10 employees, it's a multimillion dollar business. I think it's Edward Thornton who keeps saying how ""shocked"" he is when I complain about not getting what I paid for. more
