Anyone in the Hudson Valley area...Do NOT use Putnam Valley Petroleum! Horrible customer service! Dealing with Kathy in the office is a terrible experience. She won't stop talking & listen to you. Things don't get done & you just keep going around in circles. We are supposed to close on our house in NY on Thursday & I have been trying to get them to top off the tank & send our lawyer a fax letting them know its full so we can reimbursed for a full tank at closing. She said they couldn't do it. She said we would have to have them stick the tank, charge us $125 to come out to do it & my agent would have to go to the house to let them in. I scheduled them on Friday to go there today (Monday) to do this. Talked to her this morning & she didn't schedule it. They would have to go there tomorrow. My husband took over calling because I am getting nowhere & am frustrated. He called the office & was told that the manager would call him at 10. No phone call. He called back at 10:30 & manager would not get on phone. Kathy got on phone & went around in circles with him & would not even let him speak. She told my husband different things than she told me. She was going to charge me $125 to have them go out there to stick the tank, but told my husband it would be free. It should not be this difficult. Our lawyer, our agent & both of us are amazed at how unprofessional & how difficult the office staff is there. Save yourself a huge headache & avoid dealing with them. In the end they can have someone go out there on Thursday & top it off. Our closing is Thursday morning, so we will not have this part wrapped up until after the closing. I have been trying to get this done since last Wednesday. Over a week should have plenty enough time for them to do this. Unbelievable!
