Pay the extra money to hire a 'Professional' company. They will move you faster so even if the hourly rate is higher, you will still save money because you won't be paying for as many hours.\r

I was quoted 4-5 hour move by most companies and since this one was the cheapest I went with them. It took over 9 HOURS!!!! So it ended up costing me more AND I lost out on 4 hours of unpacking on the day of the move.\r

The movers didn’t move a single item in the first 30 minutes of our move. \r
One of the movers was slow as molasses walking up and down the stairs.\r
He wasn’t able to move our mattress (one of the biggest reasons we hired movers was so we wouldn’t have to move the heavy stuff ourselves)\r
When the truck was half full he started complaining that it would take us two trips.\r
He cost me additional hours of work b/c of the 2 trips and his overall laziness.\r
When unloading at our new house, he was in the truck folding blankets and rolling up straps instead of moving our items.\r

Moving is stressful and expensive. SS Movers let me down by costing me more time and money than was necessary. I will not be recommending to friends nor personally using Starving Students again. Buyer Beware!
