Editorial review from Citysearch 2/20/2013

When I was young, about 12 or 13, my mother told my father over the phone while he was at work that the washer wasn't working. After telling him what it was doing, he told her to put me on the phone. My dad instructed me to go down stairs and write down the model# and the serial# of the washer and get on my bike and ride up to Kenwhirl and tell the man behind the counter that I needed a wigwag for our washer.\r He also told me that I had seen him fix the washer before and that I could do it too so my mom could continue with her washing.\r I did what he told me and felt like some really ""Big Stuff"" walking into Kenwhirl with that paper in my hand, going to buy a part for a washer that ""I"" was going to fix.\r That was 39yrs. ago and I rode my bike from Livonia up to the store on Telegraph and I did fix that washer for my dad.\r That experience must have had an impression on me to be able to fix appliances on my own, and save money too, because ever since then I have always went to Kenwhirl for my appliance parts and the people there have always been helpful providing tips and advice to get the job done.\r Thank You Kenwhirl! more
