BEWARE!!!! I was over charged by $660. I asked ""Joey"" to speak with me and the insurance co together and was informed that she doesn't have to do that. I tried to relate to her what the contract said the allowed charges are and what the ins co told me they should be but she became angry and dropped me as a patient. She had also made me pay up front for the work to be done and also for work they ""thought"" may need to be done but didn't need to be done. Now I'm waiting for a refund of the $1,280 they are holding of mine. She will not give me any idea when I can get the refund and said it had to be sent to the CPAs to be sure the funds are there. *! What does that mean?!* After dropping me as a patient and not allowing me to keep the appt for that day she stated she will deduct $50 for the broken appt from the refund. I advised that I did not break the appt..she did. She stated that I had no intentions of keeping the appt. I stated that I would have completed the appt but needed clarification for the charges. She stated that she will not be talked down to and hung up. I too had the problem of them breaking appointments. I was traveling at the time and had to plan my travels around the dental appts. I had explained this to them but still was called and told that there was another patient that needed alot of work done all in one day so I was bumped to another date. I was on my way back to TX from FL for the new appt when I was called and told that the dentist could not make the appt. I don't believe the positive reviews that have been posted. I wonder actually if Steven Huffstutler knows that people are being overcharged or if Joey is doing better financially than one would expect on an office worker salary. Wonder if there are 2 sets of books. The charges she reported to my ins co were the correct charges but what my receipt shows is $660.00 over. The last time I was there I spoke with 2 other patients who stated they felt they were being told to come in for continual procedures and one stated she had noticed that the charges are not in line with the co pays her ins carrier lists on her benefits. I feel slimmed! more
