When I hired Mr Kaufman for a forgery case he told me he was personal friends with the prosecutors and assured me of getting a bond reduction. When I appeared in court my bond reduction was denied. Mr Kaufman stated if I didn't like jail then I shouldn't have done what I did to get there. He discussed my case in length with an outside party, without my permission, and stated I was obviously guilty. He refused to meet with me to discuss further details of my case and threatened to indefinitely postpone my case unless he was given more money. When Mr Kaufman found out I went to the Judge over some of these matters he quickly withdrew from my case. He has refused to refund of my monies.
