I took vehicle in for 30,000 maintenance including oil change - ended up with $400.00 bill. I was advised that 'they' recommended several additional maintenance items, inferring that Hyundai recommended this work. Afterwards I checked online, my owners book and my home Hyundai dealer and found out that this work was not recommended nor required by Hyundai. These services included 4 wheel alignment - questionable, wanted 4 wheel tire rotation. This included balance. Total $90 & $50 when I only needed rotation. Injector and throttle body flush $148. Not required. Cabin air filter replacement. $50 OK. Shop charge for repair order $5 what's this for?? Oil, lube, filter change $30. I would have expected a more normal total charge of $130. I will certainly be better prepared the next time I use this dealer for routine maintenance to watch out for what I consider 'gouging'. I have already been advised that I need coolant flush and brake flush on my next visit. I'm skeptical at this point. I'm used to a $30 to $50 charge at my home dealer. This was my first visit to this dealership - Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg. I own two Hyundai vehicles currently - 2006 Azera, 2011 Veracruz, both of which I bought new, and have never been greeted with a $400 oil change bill before. I'm sure this dealer has had a high number of complaints about high service bills. My receipt says that I requested this work. (CUSTOMER STATS) I would very much like a response to this survey.
