I just went to Physicians' Eye Care in the last month as well as my husband and two children. We have been a long time Lenscrafter customer and switched due to insurance. I have to say I didn't wait, no one even mentioned Lasik. My glasses and frames with non-glare, progressive lenses were 340 after insurance (if I hadn't gotten the non-glare, they would have been 250). At lens crafters, after my AAA discount without non-glare the glasses were 550. My daughter's glasses and frames were $200. It was quite a bit cheaper than lense crafters. I was never able to see clearly out of the contacts that I purchased at lenscrafters. The doctor that fitted me for contacts spent over an hour with me and found that my eyes didn't adjust correctly to the brand that I was wearing. I am in a new brand and seeing very clearly now. There were a couple of things that I didn't like (1) when ordering my contacts I asked how much they would be (6 months supply versus 1 year) and the person I was ordering from couldn't tell me, she had to refer me to the doctor; (2) the multiple appointments with limited hours. The only days they are open after 4:30/5:00 are Thursdays. They said they were open some saturdays but no one could tell me which saturday. I had to have a separate eye appt/contact appt and glasses fitting. For someone that works a regualr job it is difficult to fit these in. Other than that I had a very positive experience. more
