Eco Clean cleaned our chimney and left a terrible mess in our living room. The photos and information on their website led us to believe that cleanliness was something we could count on. Regardless of what we read on their website, cleanliness is something you should be able to expect from any service company. I even asked the employee if I needed to move anything away from the fireplace before he began: a cheerful, "Nope!" I was told the job would take about 90 minutes. He was finished in 30 minutes. Yikes. When he was finished, I noticed soot on our rug and asked, "Will this vacuum up?" He responded with a confident, "Oh, sure!" I was eight months pregnant and also taking care of my toddler, so I did not have time to argue, nor to notice the awful footprints of sooty mud he tracked in from outside all over my floors. Once he left and I noticed it all, I called immediately. The owner was nice and said right away that we would not be charged for the service and apologized. He said the snow that had fallen the night before made the otherwise outside job and inside job and he should have called to cancel instead of going ahead with the job. That does not concern me as the customer. His job as the professional was to do the job well. After we hung up and I began to clean, I realized the extent of the damage that was caused by the tracks and the soot. It took me 3-4 cleans to get up all of the footprints and mud. After 3-4 vacuums on the rug, the black soot still covered it. I also noticed a layer of soot that covered an 8-foot radius out from the fireplace. When my husband saw it and called later that night to talk to the owner again about the extent of the actual damage, the owner was less than helpful. I contacted him again and he agreed to pay for the cleaning of that area of the house. We should have demanded more. It has been more than 60 days and he has not yet paid despite many contacts. Call another company if you want a professional job. We still are not sure if we got a clean chimney after 30 minutes of work and a mess of a house.

Yes our tech did leave a foot print off the tarp we put down Katie was not charged the 150.00 for the chimney clean also we gave her another 50.00 They never told me that the check never came i asumed everything was fine a email or a phone call would of taken care of the missing check i have sent katie a check on the 1-29 as soon as we found out after she wrote the bbb and this site.Katie said they were satisfied with our response. I had no idea the check never arrive and have resolved the problem by sending her another one
