Our server, Brian, was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Thank you for steering us through the cocktail menu (Highly recommend the Pink Elegance and the Cucumber Stiletto)! \r

The entrees from the Spice Menu were good: the skirt steak was definitely better than the swordfish. The swordfish was good and cooked properly; however, the coconut broth was more of a gravy but tasted good just not what was described. The appetizers (Tuna Crudo and Mushroom and Foie Gras Ravioli) were very good and innovative for a price-fixe menu item. I was glad to see that they offered more than just a salad so you could really sample what they can do.\r

The vibe of the restaurant was subdued when we arrived for our Wednesday at 7:15 pm reservations, but really like the stark decor with marble, black and lights. As more diners arrived, the DJ kicked in, but thankfully he kept the music at a reasonable decibel level where you could still hold a conversation. His tune selection was also good and not just EDM.\r

The not-so-great\r
The bread was slightly cold when it reached our table which is not good for challah bread, which needs to be served ASAP. When we first sat at our table, there was a lingering smell of a used/dirty mop that permeated the dining room area until more patrons arrived. Not sure why as the dining area is mainly carpeted, so I tried hard to ignore that the smell was coming from the kitchen where my food was also being prepared. Even with the Spice Menu, our bill quickly totaled upwards of $150 with the cocktails, tax and added gratuity so keep that in mind for your budget.
