Although, it is suppose to be top steak place, the lounge was cheesy. Up to $15-16 a drink, not even top liquor, and the drink was so week. Also the truffle fries was more like smell of truffles, rather than taste like its with truffle. I've been all around the world, and this is cheesy. more

Our server, Brian, was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Thank you for steering us through the cocktail menu (Highly recommend the Pink Elegance and the Cucumber Stiletto)! \r \r The entrees from the Spice Menu were good: the skirt steak was definitely better than the swordfish. The swordfish was good and cooked properly; however, the coconut broth was more of a gravy but tasted good just not what was described. The appetizers (Tuna Crudo and Mushroom and Foie Gras Ravioli) were very good and innovative for a price-fixe menu item. I was glad to see that they offered more than just a salad so you could really sample what they can do.\r \r The vibe of the restaurant was subdued when we arrived for our Wednesday at 7:15 pm reservations, but really like the stark decor with marble, black and lights. As more diners arrived, the DJ kicked in, but thankfully he kept the music at a reasonable decibel level where you could still hold a conversation. His tune selection was also good and not just EDM.\r \r The not-so-great\r The bread was slightly cold when it reached our table which is not good for challah bread, which needs to be served ASAP. When we first sat at our table, there was a lingering smell of a used/dirty mop that permeated the dining room area until more patrons arrived. Not sure why as the dining area is mainly carpeted, so I tried hard to ignore that the smell was coming from the kitchen where my food was also being prepared. Even with the Spice Menu, our bill quickly totaled upwards of $150 with the cocktails, tax and added gratuity so keep that in mind for your budget. more

Amazing food and fun atmosphere. There was a Dj playing great music on Saturday night. Prices are a little high but definitely worth it. I would rather go here than Prime One Twelve any day as the food is much better and less expensive. Staff was great, even the manager was going around helping tables. I recommend the rack of lamb and truffle fries. more

We eat here at least twice a month and I'm always very happy for both the food, the music and overall scene. The staff is very professional and accomodating. We like the filets, seafood tower, corn pudding, sea bass is great and you have to get the bag of donuts...A great wine list but if you have to ask the price, STK isn't for you. You only go around once so enjoy it.\r \r Ask for Danielle and to be seated in the carpeted section. when you make your reservation more

Sunday night service was poor. We had a reservation at 9:15 which was honored however from there on the night became a flop. It was not till 10:50 pm that are main meal arrived. Almost 2 hours of sitting down did we get are food. When complaining to the waiter of how long it takes we were offered nothing more then an apology and all go see where your food is on top of a 18% gratuity that was charged and not deserved. more

This restaurant was very entertaining in combination with good food! Went there for a birthday party with 6 other girls and everyone walked out satisfied (vegetarians included!) and a bit tipsy. I can personally recommend the burrata salad, it literally melts in your mouth.. The tuna tartar is extremely fresh and the plantain chips in it add a fun "crunch" sensation. Being that I eat with my eyes I also ordered with Yellowtail (which came home with me) and it was delicious! But if, like me, you don't have a big stomach, 2 appetizers or 1 with an entree are definitely enough because the portions are generous! The 2 Pink Elegance Martini i had with my meal were also delicious and not as sweet as I expected (which for me at least, is a plus). To top it all off we also enjoyed some celebrity sightings at the table next to ours ;) more

Fantastic! Lobster risotto was to die for! Scenery was great. Check out the roof top bar first for a drink prior to dinner - it's "Miami crazy"! more

I had the bone-in fillet and would definetly recommend it. At least at par in quality and price with any of the other expensive steak houses around. The steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Of additional note, the short-ribs, lobster mac-and-cheese and sliders were also above average-great. On the negative side, the oysters were fair and the place can be loud and dark, even upstairs. more

What a blast - Great meal! 7/9/2010

Okay, I have been to STK NYC and I have to say this one is as good if not better. The first time I came there was an air-condition problem but I just went this week and that was solved. The place is so fun and alive compared to most steakhouses. I love the music they play 80's 70's rock and some new stuff. We later danced in the lounge and people are singing along, especially to old Bon Jovi. Love it!! -We had a blast. My friend requested a song from the in house Dj and he played it pretty quickly. The food was really good both times I have been here. My favorite were the kobe sliders -wow. The server said they were the best sliders ever and she was right. I also liked the Tuna tartar and the shrimpy krispy appetizer. For our main course: We split the porterhouse for 2 special with a main lobster - the steak was a perfect medium rare with amazing flavor plus I love the stk sauce with it. We also tried the new Lobster Mac and cheese ( yes- we like lobster). Liked the sides of corn pudding and the Truffle fries - wow again. And then this choc & PB smores dessert. The service was right on - NYC style and I say ranks in the top I have had in Miami ( which we all know Miami is not a good service town. :) LOve it all and I am going back with a large group in 2 weeks to party. We also were invited to go up to PLunge after and that was nice. Pros: Ambiance, Service, food Cons: limited wine list more

Worst Birthday Dinner I Ever Attended, and it was my bday 6/13/2010

The Miami New Times wrote an article on STK, it was titled ""Style over Steak"". Boy were they right! I came here for my 23rd birthday (4/29) & wanted to try a nice new restaurant out, so I chose STK. What a mistake! Please do yourself a favor, spend your money elsewhere. The music was great, the drinks while we were waiting 45 minutes for our table hit the spot. Yes, we waited 45 minutes to be sat down, WITH RESERVATIONS! Here's what went wrong: 45 minute wait, Bad Service, Waiter dropped our bottle, Fire alarm went off, Over cooked steak. I've had bad service before, but never on my birthday. My morale at that point was to just go home. I didn't want dessert, I didn't want anything but the check. Our bill was for 6 people, the other 3 had a separate check. Our bill included our 2nd bottle, tax & tip. The total came out to $602, roughly 100 bucks per person. Is that worth getting a terrible experience? Does that seem fair? I don't think so, but what can you do. It was MY decision to come here, & I regret it. I was expecting a big bill like this, but the experience that came along with the big bill was 100% uncalled for. Pros: Location, Modern Classy Decor Cons: Terrible service, sub par expensive steak more

Hello Newbies to STK, the last time i ate there was in February 10 for my friends birthday dinner the food was great!, my particular favorite were the mini Burgers, "beleive it or not the best appetizers on the menu." One of my very good friends happened to be sitting at the table next to us for another group b-day dinner. and they happened to have experienced the same thing i did. we had had an extra Entrée and appetizer billed to our ticket, considering the kitchen preps everything that the waiter prints makes me wonder if management isn't already aware, Hmm mm... well it dropped our bill from a hefty $632.00 (for 3) to a to an ever more relieving $551.00. and my friends bill was also over by a whopping $150.00 (for a party of 9) i can only imagine how often this must go on with their usually unassuming more affluent crowd whom probably don't scrutinize there bill like we did. (Hell we almost didnt catch it !!!!) Hey STK id like just a 10% cut of those check mi-stakes a year ! lol. more
