you are very subjective and I would bet that you do not know Dr Obanion as you should - You have said very little details about your experience , but let me share our family's ---our beloved pet had developed kidney failure and we allowed him to be with dr O'Banion thru the whole phase of diagnose , treatment and therapy-we told him , do what you must and tell us what to expect ...he was most compassionate, understanding ,realistic , and honest about our guys end ......we could not ask for more ...even during the final moments-- I saw tears is his eye .......he was considerate about our family and our family's finacial concerns . I would rather be told the straight truth , than be coddled and smoozed -too many others out there just are like smoozing politicians -they say what is popular and politically correct ....I would rather see honest and up front billing than hidden charges and in fact I know that dr o'banion did much for us that was not ever billed ......perhaps you want your hands to be held or your emotions to be duped with meaningless words , he will not do that , but he will guide you with his no bs approach .......yes , you can pay more , but thankfully there are still an occasional vet that will give you value and compassion .....continue you GED studies honey , someday you will get it . And stop maligning a great vet , he is a gem . Open your eyes , look around you , you might live and learn .
