In September 2010 my 74 year old mom's 2000 dodge van engine threw a rod through the block while on a trip to the Cleveland area. Kirtland Auto towed her van in and gave her a ride to a car rental company. They found a used scrap yard engine and installed it for her. When she called me and told me where the van was I immediately looked for reviews and after reading some of them i was very worried that my mom was going to get ripped off and end up with a piece of crap. However when i flew into Cleveland to pick up her van I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the workmanship. I have 25 years experience working on my own cars and company trucks so i knew what i was looking at. they had just finished installing the engine when i arrived and still had about 4 hours of work to do on but it was obviously not hob-cobbled together. the wiring harness' were unplugged and plugged back together. Nothing had been cut or torn up. I was Impressed and very happy with the quality of the work. I drove the van from there to Canada (500 miles) with no problems. I left there 3 days later and drove it with my mother to FL. It has been there and back again and with the exception of regular oil changes I have yet to put oil in it and it has been driven around 15,000 with the new engine. The only issue I have is that I feel they are a little pricey but I have found that in a situation like this I would rather pay up front than down the road.
