My garage door torsion spring snapped and I needed to get both of them replaced. I called 3 companies, Welborn, Overhead Door, and Hollywood. Welborn and Overhead Door sent representatives out to give me an estimate. Hollywood gave me an estimate over the phone after i described the problem in detail. When they came out, the representatives from the other two companies tried to sell me a new door instead of fix my existing door for MANY hundreds more than the cost to repair. After I declined getting a new door, they provided quotes for the repair. Overhead Door was 50% more than Hollywood and Welbon was 100% MORE. Welborn then asked me if they could match the price would I choose them. I asked them, ""why would I choose a company that tried to rip me off over a company that gave me an honest price to begin with?"" So I chose Hollywood and they came out and they were at my house within an hour. He came in and replaced the torsion springs quickly. It was very obvious he had been doing this for a VERY long time. He also tuned up the other parts of the door (tracks, hinges, etc...) as part of the service. The other companies wanted to charge extra for a tune up so I didn't even ask them to quote on it. Hollywood did a great job!!! at by far the best price and I don't think either of the other two companies could have done any better job. All around an OUTSTANDING job!!! This is my first review post. I actually took the time to write a review because I hope Hollywood gets more business and I hope Welborn gets what they deserve for trying to gouge their customers.
