Clearlake used to be our vet of choice a few years ago. But then gruff, but highly competent, Dr. Holt decided he was too old and wanted to travel and be semi- or entirely-retired; what we got then was this skinny guy with a big mustache who would barely even approach, let alone examine, our "kids," but would instead stand a few feet back, and offer some stupid, "no, duh!" advice that my car mechanic could have given me. And then the bill is twice what I expected. I won't go back there.
