I spent 1 weekend at cross creek camping resort and I will not be going back. This campground is not kid friendly at all. The playground was sub par at best. Then when we checked in no one decided to share with us that there was going to be a private birthday party with a band that would be going on till almost 11 o clock at night. plus because the people who rented the pavillin were long term campers they allowed their guests to park their cars on all sides of my camper. so it felt more like a parking lot then a campground. and because their party guests were drinking I ended keeping my children inside the camper from 5pm till bedtime. It ruined my camping experience. and when I complained the assitant manager who came from the party said oh well this happens all the time and it was my fault for choosing that spot even tho no one told me that there was going to be a party there. So my 1 year old and 8 year old ended crabby and over tired that night. I would recommand to anyone with kids not to stay here. but to choose alum creek state park instead.
