Just stayed for Labor Day weekend. My friends booked the campground and my daughter and I joined a day later so I can't say anything for the check in process. We're not new to camping, first in tents, then my friend got a camper so we've been to quite a few places. It's a nice place, well manicured lawns and landscaping, most people seemed nice. When I pulled up on Friday evening, it was eerily quiet for a campground, despite the many kids we saw. They do have a lot of rules, some seem silly, but they do have the right to make those rules, so I won't say much there except that you should look at the rules before you make your reservations to make sure this is the right place for you. The sites are very close together with maybe one tree so there's virtually no privacy. We joked that the ""hall monitor"" might bust us for being too loud (they like it quiet there) b/c we were so close to our neighbors. The bathrooms/showers and pool were clean and nice, but got stuffy (just one window fan), especially while people are taking showers. It's pretty expensive for camping, goes up for holidays, and only covers 2 people, so if you have a family, it'll get pricey quick. They say they're family and pet-friendly, but the rules don't really seem to support that. My daughter was pretty bored. There are train tracks nearby and you can hear the whistle throughout the night. I don't want to say it's a bad place. If you're a couple or a small quiet group of adults, you could have a nice time here. If you're a family or you want some more privacy, Alum Creek State Park campgrounds are right down the street. We drove through and the campsites are bigger, more private and have less rules. We will definitely come back to the area, but the state park is more up our alley.
