I went in for a cleaning, got the cleaning, but got billed for something called a debridement, which was not covered by my insurance. A debridement is in short a deep cleaning if they feel that you have too much tartar buildup and need to work a little harder than they expected. There was no warning that they were going to to something else, they just did it and charged me.
Also, they will recommend numerous procedures that most other dentists will say you don't need. I have gotten second opinions on multiple occasions to find that DDS was trying to squeeze every dollar out of me, for procedures I did not need. Fillings, wisdom teeth pullings, etc.
They also have tried to push whitenings on me, because its a big money maker for them.
Do yourself a favor and stay away.
