Delaware Lanes is known to locals for its horrible customer service. I ignored this advice and planned a bowling/pizza party. Per the managers request I called 30 minutes prior to the party time to let them know we were on the way. The man that answered said no one was working the kitchen since leagues got canceled. I asked him when someone would be in. He rudely responded that he didn't know! I asked him if he was aware we had a food order in already and guests were expecting to eat on arrival. He said ""look I don't work the kitchen and i don't have any food order for you"" UNBELIEVABLE!!! In a panic I called COLONY LANES and asked them if the had someone in the kitchen and if they could take our party last minute. Thankfully they said yes! So I called Delaware Lanes as a courtesy and told them we were moving our party to a location that could actually meet our needs. *HERE'S WHERE IT GETS REALLY ""GOOD'! The man gave me an attitude and said he just started making our pizzas! I was surprised to hear this since he just said he couldn't cook and didn't know when a cook would be in. A few minutes later the manager calls and rips my head off saying that we screwed her and cost her money on pizzas! I tried to explain to her about the rude man that answered the phone and seemed to have no idea about our party or if they could even accommodate it (as promised) The manager continued to yell at me so I hung up. Then she called COLONY LANES and cursed them out for stealing her business!!! I was so upset. I was blown away at the horrible customer service. On a lighter note though COLONY LANES staff was incredibly friendly and provided us a great Birthday Party experience on VERY late notice. In the end we had fun but it was NOT at Delaware Lanes.
