Save yourself, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! 2/26/2012

First off I HAVE to give them a star and I dont feel that they even deserve one. I had taken my dog there on 26 Feb 2012 because he was not eating. We as any normal person would do had done lots of research online to try to figure out what was going on. We then could not come up with anything solid, so my wife and I took our dog in to the clinic. Upon arrival there we saw that it was pretty busy. I kind of expected that due to the day being Sunday. So we made our way in and, we signed in and waited. They told us that it would be about 45 minutes to an hour before we were seen. 1 1/2 hours later we make it back to the examination room. 30 minutes goes by and then the Vet comes in. 10 minutes later the Vet wraps up our visit and the leaves. 15 minutes later the Vet tech comes back in with a laundry list of things they want to do to our dog. Now all the research my wife and I did, pointed to either a cold, or depression in the dog but again WE ARE NOT THE EXPERTS WE wanted little more clarification on what was going on. They wanted to do x-rays, blood work, and do a Snap test. Now again, I research EVERYTHING and to charge for lab work and a snap test is ridiculous. A Snap test is a little cotton swab with a small bulb on the back of it that contains a solution that will give you a chemical reaction in any area that you test. It is kind of like doing a home pee test it is that simple. $30.00 roughly for the snap test there. X-rays $170.00 I am no doctor but I know x rays are only useful on certain things. And I know he has no broken bones. “Maybe an ultra sound would be more useful guys”. After everything was said and done they wanted over $300.00 for a visit. We said NO! We did not do any of the tests they wanted to charge for, because again we think either cold or depression. That is what the signs are pointing to in OUR dog. We needed an answer that they clearly could not provide without them getting over $300.00 and possibly more. Now I know Google is not a Doctor however last time I checked there are always Doctors willing to help and give advice for free on Google. Then you can find a reputable Vet. But this place has none that I could tell. All of them are scam artists and are very willing to take YOUR HARD EARNED CASH! ******************UPDATE**UPDATE*********************** So come to find out my dog would not eat the food I had provided to him because he just does not like it. I guess $300.00 would have told me that too I am sure. But Again I am no Vet. Thank you NEVC for trying to rip me off but I will trust my dog over your so called specialists. more
