10/16/13 - I was a walk in patient. I had called earlier to ask how much an office visit was. It was $45. The girl who answered the phone was friendly. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and asked to sign in. But, my dog was in extreme pain. The front desk took our info quickly and had us wait no longer than 10 minutes before we got a room. A tech looked over Chandler and wrote down the symptoms. She left and we waited maybe 5 min before Dr. Brian came in. Everyone said hello and was sooooo nice to me and Chandler. Dr. Brian listened to my list of symptoms and then told me about the exam as he did it. Chandler hurt his neck. It would need an xray to confirm diagnosis but today I didn't have the money. Dr Brian was kind enough to give us pain meds, anti-inflammatory, and muscle relaxants. I had to leave the clinic to pick up cash so Chandler could get a fast acting shot to get the pain under control. Thanks to everyone who helped us today. All of you were fast and courteous and kind. I was super scared because my beloved dog was in pain and I had no idea why. I also called this clinic at night because I was nervous about my dog panting and then breathing heavy. The office assured me that this was normal and to give him all his meds tonight. Of coarse, I could take my dog back in if I was uncomfortable with his level of pain. I decided to keep chandler at home and to see how he feels after I gave him all his pain meds. Its been 8 hrs home and Chandler is calmer and resting. Hopefully, the meds (with crate rest) will work. Thanks, NEVC! I will definitely recommend your clinic! more

10/16/13 - Knowledgeable and caring doctor. Well informed. I took my 14 y/o mini eskie, Chandler, in for pain, he would do this sharp cry randomly and that scared the heck out of me. I know that means your dog is in bad shape. I was a walk-in patient, waited no more than 15 minutes to be seen. Dr. Brian, He performed an thorough exam. My dog has severe dental diease and herniated disk in neck. He explained the importance of needing an xray but I didn't have money for that right now. We're gonna try meds to see if that calms my dog down and I'll probably go back in 7 days for a follow up. Great mannerism from Dr. Brian. He was patient with all my questions. And explained everything in easy language so I understood my dog's health issues. He was gave me estimates for everything. I would recommend him and this clinic. Extremely friendly and caring people. more

Shocked that there were such bad reviews. Went there tonight unexpected. We found a kitten and they were very nice to us. The staff was fast and it was clean. We will be returning and will refer others there. more

Save yourself, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! 2/26/2012

First off I HAVE to give them a star and I dont feel that they even deserve one. I had taken my dog there on 26 Feb 2012 because he was not eating. We as any normal person would do had done lots of research online to try to figure out what was going on. We then could not come up with anything solid, so my wife and I took our dog in to the clinic. Upon arrival there we saw that it was pretty busy. I kind of expected that due to the day being Sunday. So we made our way in and, we signed in and waited. They told us that it would be about 45 minutes to an hour before we were seen. 1 1/2 hours later we make it back to the examination room. 30 minutes goes by and then the Vet comes in. 10 minutes later the Vet wraps up our visit and the leaves. 15 minutes later the Vet tech comes back in with a laundry list of things they want to do to our dog. Now all the research my wife and I did, pointed to either a cold, or depression in the dog but again WE ARE NOT THE EXPERTS WE wanted little more clarification on what was going on. They wanted to do x-rays, blood work, and do a Snap test. Now again, I research EVERYTHING and to charge for lab work and a snap test is ridiculous. A Snap test is a little cotton swab with a small bulb on the back of it that contains a solution that will give you a chemical reaction in any area that you test. It is kind of like doing a home pee test it is that simple. $30.00 roughly for the snap test there. X-rays $170.00 I am no doctor but I know x rays are only useful on certain things. And I know he has no broken bones. “Maybe an ultra sound would be more useful guys”. After everything was said and done they wanted over $300.00 for a visit. We said NO! We did not do any of the tests they wanted to charge for, because again we think either cold or depression. That is what the signs are pointing to in OUR dog. We needed an answer that they clearly could not provide without them getting over $300.00 and possibly more. Now I know Google is not a Doctor however last time I checked there are always Doctors willing to help and give advice for free on Google. Then you can find a reputable Vet. But this place has none that I could tell. All of them are scam artists and are very willing to take YOUR HARD EARNED CASH! ******************UPDATE**UPDATE*********************** So come to find out my dog would not eat the food I had provided to him because he just does not like it. I guess $300.00 would have told me that too I am sure. But Again I am no Vet. Thank you NEVC for trying to rip me off but I will trust my dog over your so called specialists. more

ALMOST PERFECT but... 8/8/2011

The Doctors are great, one of them is Dr. Ross, and specially Dr. Giles, the technicians are polite, and friendly, one of them is Daniel, they make up a great team. BUT I don't know what the problem is with the receptionists, specially Michelle and Veronica. They are unfriendly, rude and not helpful, is like they automatically turn into nasty mode once you ask them something or ask them for help. If it wasn't for members like those receptionists the Northeast Veterinary Clinic would be my #1 choice Clinic. I might continue to go but only because of great members like the Doctors and technicians, the key is just getting past the rude receptionists. more

Love their Montana site 7/2/2011

They have two locations, as I understand it and we went to their site on Cheslea/Montana and really loved the care they gave my dogs! There was a crazy long wait but it is worth it b/c they had discounts on shots (on Sat) and they were such great staff!! Honestly, I didn't know what to think when we drove up (it doesn't look nice from the outside) but the rooms are nice, more than that- we loved the staff! They spent a lot of time with our dogs, answered all our questions, and didn't push anything on us. I am beyond happy that we waited and saw the Vet and Technician... they were great. Will definetly use them again! Thanks! more

This place will nickle and dime you to death, not worth it at all. For excellent and very knowledgeable pet service with the no nonsense crap without the constant pushing of prescription drugs, Coronado Animal Clinic on 6328 N Mesa St or El Paso Veterinary Hospital on 4101 Montana Ave are much better options for your pet. more
