I've had electric service with Georgia Power most of my life. First in another city, then in Savannah (for the past 21 years). I own a 2500 sf home and my level power bill is $127.00 per month. I'd say that's pretty good. The reliability of my electric service is pretty good, too. The problem with GA Power in Savannah is that it bought the old rag-tag Savannah Electric, which was a really sorry electricity provider. GA Power is in the process of upgrading the power distribution system in Savannah, but it will take many more years to complete.\r

If your power bill is super high, then something is wrong in your home/apartment. I'd have it checked out with GA Power's free in-home energy checkup. I did that and have saved big bucks by implementing new energy saving suggestions.
