Thank you Dr. Loftus and Austin Neurological Institute team for taking such good care of me and giving me my life back. My L4 & L5 discs were smoothed out/off (they looked like the jagged edge of a key) in November. Dr. Loftus found some arthritis spurs and cleaned them out as well. Minimal invasive surgery was right, apparently back in the day the cut would be 4-6? long with lots of trauma to the surrounding tissue, and nerves. Not for me, the incision was only 2? at best with no nerve and very little tissue damage. The stabbing nerve pain throughout my leg is gone. Woohoo! My wife reminded me that I have had back pain of some sort for 20 years. Now 4 months after surgery I can touch my toes, jog, sit, and stand without pain.
