I brought by to Sean a speaker some 20 plus years old. I had asked on the phone if he could re-foam it and he told me he could do it for about $15-$20, allowing 3 or 4 days so the glue could dry. That sounded reasonable enough. Upon inspection he told me the speakers had no foam, they were made of high quality cloth which was unusual. He hooked it up to diagnose the sound issue. It seemed to be my connection (not his), so he advised I cut the wires and rough the metal inside the speaker connection as well, and then check the amplifier connection which he might be able to repair if the amp proved the problem. He flatly refused any tip I tried to offer, swearing he didn't do anything. I got an excellent sound at home, but from some and not all of the amplifier connections. He gave me additional advice by phone regarding the amplifier. Not only did I find Sean trustworthy as described, he is also easy to understand, polite and gracious, and efficient. I expected an ordeal after mulling over what to do about my speakers for so long, and it was all resolved so fast and painlessly; I was surely glad to find Sean!
