Editorial review from Citysearch 3/27/2013

My experience was so good, I felt the need to sign up and leave a review here.\r \r Shawn repaired a busted cone in a Paradigm subwoofer and a tweeter in a Paradigm monitor for me. Both of these were probably 7-8 years out of warranty, and replacing them would have been similar in cost (hundreds of dollars) to having them repaired (and shipped) to Paradigm's NJ repair center.\r \r So instead, I took a flyer on Shawn, which I'll admit, I had reservations about. First, I had to drive from Greensboro, and second, there just weren't enough reviews online to make this a no-brainer decision. Honestly, there just weren't many people doing this that I could find, so I dropped my equipment off and hoped for the best.\r \r That being said, Shawn delivered. He's clearly had experience with larger and more professional sound equipment, and both items were fixed reasonably hastily and at an incredibly reasonable price.\r \r Speaker repair may not be an every day need for you, but if you're ever in the market, I couldn't recommend him more. more

Will Always Return Here! 2/26/2012

I brought by to Sean a speaker some 20 plus years old. I had asked on the phone if he could re-foam it and he told me he could do it for about $15-$20, allowing 3 or 4 days so the glue could dry. That sounded reasonable enough. Upon inspection he told me the speakers had no foam, they were made of high quality cloth which was unusual. He hooked it up to diagnose the sound issue. It seemed to be my connection (not his), so he advised I cut the wires and rough the metal inside the speaker connection as well, and then check the amplifier connection which he might be able to repair if the amp proved the problem. He flatly refused any tip I tried to offer, swearing he didn't do anything. I got an excellent sound at home, but from some and not all of the amplifier connections. He gave me additional advice by phone regarding the amplifier. Not only did I find Sean trustworthy as described, he is also easy to understand, polite and gracious, and efficient. I expected an ordeal after mulling over what to do about my speakers for so long, and it was all resolved so fast and painlessly; I was surely glad to find Sean! more
