I agree with jordantbd 100%. My storage unit was on the first floor and everything was ruined by the flood. The water came up about 1 foot. The worst part is the owners would not let us in to see our units for almost 2 weeks after Sandy. By then, the water had travelled even further into my stuff and by the time I we were permitted to get our possessions, everything smelled strongly of mold. I spent the entire day last Saturday mopping up the excess water and tossing boxes of ruined possessions out. The owners insisted on charging me for the entire month, despite the fact that they shut us out for almost 2 weeks. No compensation at all, and they were downright RUDE when I asked if they would do anything to help compensate for our losses. I saw many people moving their stuff out of there, done with this crap place. I will follow suit as soon as I can. The owners' behavior was shameful throughout this ordeal and continues to be. They will pay the price when everyone goes elsewhere.
