My brother and I recently took his dog Max to a clinic in Brownsville, where he was seen by Dr. Bruce Gray. Max was a beautiful yellow lab that unfortunately had not been treated for heart worms. He was taken to a doctor because he was coughing and throwing up some blood. Upon examination we were told that the symptoms he had pointed to rat poison. Even though a test for heart worms came out positive, Dr. Gray told us that was not the cause of his illness. He was treated with vitamin k and a steroid shot. Max seemed to improve for about a week but then the symptoms returned. My brother took him to another vet and he was told Heart worms was what was making him sick. Max was found dead the next morning, in a pool of blood. After researching heart worms and their symptoms we realized Max had every symptom. Although Dr. Bruce Gray was very nice, we are extremely disappointed that he did not treat him for worms or at least give us the option to put him down so he would not suffer. We
