Very disappointed 10/2/2012

My brother and I recently took his dog Max to a clinic in Brownsville, where he was seen by Dr. Bruce Gray. Max was a beautiful yellow lab that unfortunately had not been treated for heart worms. He was taken to a doctor because he was coughing and throwing up some blood. Upon examination we were told that the symptoms he had pointed to rat poison. Even though a test for heart worms came out positive, Dr. Gray told us that was not the cause of his illness. He was treated with vitamin k and a steroid shot. Max seemed to improve for about a week but then the symptoms returned. My brother took him to another vet and he was told Heart worms was what was making him sick. Max was found dead the next morning, in a pool of blood. After researching heart worms and their symptoms we realized Max had every symptom. Although Dr. Bruce Gray was very nice, we are extremely disappointed that he did not treat him for worms or at least give us the option to put him down so he would not suffer. We more

Dr. Bruce & Dr. Jennifer: the best! 10/25/2010

I am a 30+ year customer of Dr. Bruce Gray. He is the most dedicated and caring veterinarian I have ever known. Over the years, I have watched several young Veterinarians come and go. Therefore, I have specifically requested him for all our pet needs. \r \r However, several years ago I met a new veterinarian, Dr. Jennifer Gerometta. (Now, Peacock). I am most impressed with her abilities and the level of genuine concern she has for all animals. I once found a six month old abandoned Dalmatian. \r \r This dog was emaciated, invested with ticks and fleas, and had been struck by an automobile dislocating its hip. She cleaned away every flea and tick. She reset the dog's hip, and medicated him with antibiotics. \r \r Two weeks later, she removed the wrapping that restricted movement in order for his hip to reset. Today, this dog is the picture of health and completely normal while living a very happy life. \r \r This clinic is the best! If you are in need of the best care for your pets, ask for Dr. more

BEWARE: CHARGES 8/10/2010

I took my pet to the vet and he was seen by Dr. Kellog and I was charged for a fecal test he did not perform. Visitors beware. Make sure these people can prove what they say they are doing to your pet. I was told by a manager that those forms are legal documents but to me this vet has lied on a legal document. Please beware!!! Don't trust them. more

Caring Vets 3/16/2009

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Gray, Dr. Kellogg, Dr. Cruz, & Dr. Gerometta for years now. These Vets are very caring people. They are always available when you need them. The rest of the staff (like Smiley) is just as caring. They look after our dogs as if they were their own. We are animal lovers who consider our pets part of the family. As such, we highly recommend North 23rd St Veterinary Clinic to everyone who wants quality care for their pets. \r \r Rudy & Anna Carr more
