Hayes Heating has been great. I have two heating units in my house, so it's easy for me to make comparisons when one was replaced by another company and they are both made by the same manufacturer of equipment. I tried to have that company replace the second unit so it would be the same year and a half between them.
My experience with that company was initially okay, then disappointing. They would get a 3 or 3.5 or 4 on a 5-point scale, probably closer to 3. Their follow up on the second unit was a complete failure. That's when I went to Hayes, and they gave me fast responses, clear information, and met all their commitments. I have no qualms with them.
One of the funky things about my house is that one heating unit is in the attic, so it is really difficult to replace. I had to get a special unit for that, which they had to dismantle, haul up, and install. It wasn't easy, but they adapted to a strange unit in stride.
They actually produced, for my heat pump, a new base to get it up off the ground, which the other company didn't bother to do. There was also some remedial work there, so they came back to finish it. When I recently had a question or issue, where the heating filters themselves were rattling when the fans came on and I couldn't figure out what it was, they came out and helped me. All in all, I couldn't ask for anything better.
