To be honest, every time I go to Char I typically wind up getting the braised short ribs. It's always been spot on. I did get the 8oz Filet Mignon once to mix it up and was pretty impressed. My only regret is that I asked for it done medium and not ""charred"". \r

The ambiance is hip and trendy and service has typically been good for me. The only time it was questionable was Valentine's Day last year when the restaurant was swamped. I'd recommend Char to anyone looking for a great steak in a cool, happening place.
