This business is a scam! I went to Cherry Hill Dental in the Summer/Fall of 2009. I am 30 years old and throughout my life I have only had 4 cavities when I was 18 years old. I've never had braces or any other work. At Cherry Hill Dental you need to be alert. The hygenist will say things like ""ok and after our examination if we have time today we'll get to that cleaning."" She said that to me and I remember thinking it's 3pm why would we not have time for a cleaning after all that's what I'm here for! They also show you a picture of your mouth that has been taken with an HD camera and they use that as a scare tactic. Think about it, how often do week look at our mouths? At the same time, how is a photograph a valuable diagnostic tool? They use it to get you to think yuck and be more willing to go along with their regiment of treatment. Mary came in and did my exam and said that I had four cavities in my molar teeth. I said well I had those sealed so that seems odd. She said that the seals come out, which is true but still odd. Mary also went on to say that I needed a deep cleaning to clean underneath my gums so they would not do a cleaning today. What? I've never had that recommended. The next step is they take you to their closer who meets with you in a room to talk about financing. They recommended that I pursue the deep cleaning first which was going to use up all of my insurance benefits and then wait a year to have the cavities taken care of. That doesn't make any sense! In addition the women slipped me one of their credit card offers insinuating that I couldn't pay for the services. How insulting! At that point the women tried to get me to sign an agreement to get these services done. I told her no, got up, and walked out without ever receiving a cleaning. My insurance covers 2 cleanings a year, however, Cherry Hill Dental did not submit the exam to my insurance and charged me 150 for an exam! Now, a little over 2 years later I have been to a dentist (Miller Dental) every 6 months. The dentist has found no cavities, has reassured me that I do not need a deep cleaning, and does not recommend braces nor am I experiencing any pain. This is more consistent with my history of dental needs and care. Also, Miller has never had a problem submitting their bills to my insurance company (Aetna) and the insurance company has always covered the bill. So when you go to Cherry Hill Dental drawn in by the promise of a free whitening and things don't add up, it's for a reason. They are running a scam!
