My husband and I just had a terrible experience at the Kid to Kid location in Ogden. We had previously had a good experience at the store in Layton, where we'd bought a used double stroller and asked if we could leave our single stroller, in very good condition, with them. They didn't need it and referred us to the store in Ogden. One of the ladies there looked at it and said she didn't dare take it, because the manager was very picky about strollers and may have an issue with the way the wheels wobbled a bit. I didn't see any wobbling, especially compared to all the other strollers they have in there that we'd been looking at. She said we could leave it there for the manager to inspect it. We said yes, and dumbly signed their paper work since they had our stroller, and that they should let us know if they wanted it and how much they would pay us before anything else was done. The lady assured us that if they happened to want it, they'd let us know and tell us prices so we could decide if we wanted to sell it to them. Well, my husband got a message from them late on Monday, and wasn't able to catch them after business hours. The message was confusing. He called back two days later when he was done with work, and they informed them they'd sold it and put money on our account. The amount they put on there was pitiful- but overall, we could not believe they'd just go ahead and sell our stuff without talking to us first after what we'd verbally agreed on! We went back to the store, where the lady denied everything from our first interaction (verbal) and just told us: you signed the paperwork. Well, there was no amount of money stated on there that we could agree on! So we figure, you sign that you leave your stuff there for them to sell it for whatever amount they please, their verbal promise is worth rubbish, and on top of that, the actual manager was very nasty on the phone and blamed my husband for not checking his messages right away ;) Oh, did I mention? There was another attendant just as nasty as the first one... she said: Do you want to speak to the manager? He'll do nothing for you. My husband said something to me, and they turned around and accused him of talking to other customers (!??!!?) and that we should leave. But we were leaving already...I was blown away... more
