My husband and I just had a terrible experience at the Kid to Kid location in Ogden. We had previously had a good experience at the store in Layton, where we'd bought a used doubl...

Sort before you sell 10/6/2008

They buy your clothes and toys, but are really picky about what they take. If it's even got a tiny stain they reject it. I would recommend sorting through your stuff before you bring it in because they're going to only take your nice things. They don't pay a ton per outfit, but it adds up fast. I got like $40 for some of my son's outgrown size 2 clothes. The girls were pretty nice, and I got out quickly. Overall it was a good experience, and a lot easier than selling online. more

My favorite store 9/12/2008

The Sugarhouse Kid to Kid is so much fun to visit!!! They have a ton of different and unusual hairbows, lots of toys, and a fun little video nook where my little girls love to hang out. I always find cute things for them - last time I was in I got NEW heelies for $15... the laces weren't even done up in them yet.! My daughter loves them. And the girls who work there are sweet - Sierra is the one who usually takes my buy and she is so friendly. If you are going to sell to the store ask for her. more

The best place to buy baby gear! 9/5/2008

I saved so much money at this store. They have everything my new baby girl needs - they even have formula and bows! more

Awesome store 4/8/2008

I went to the store on 2100 S. for the first time a few weeks ago and I loved it! They had the best prices on baby clothes. I was actually looking for an exersaucer and the one they had that I wanted wasn't swiveling right. So the store girl told me she would figure it out, and took out a screwdriver and took it apart and checked it, and then put it back together for me. It was great service - totally above and beyond. I ended up buying it and it works great! I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who wants to save money on their children, because you can save a lot on new prices. I will be back! more

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE 10/16/2007

I have to say..this never happen to me before but like they say "there is always a first time for averything". I went to the store on 21st just today on my lunch hr to get my son's halloween outfit.I looked around and finally I got what I want.I went to the cashier registrer to pay the items. After I paid I asked the employee if I could return it if there was something bad or even if the size was not the right one for my little one. She just response no that gladly "it is all final sale". I looked at my receipt to see if it was something in there saying this and I notice it says there was a 7 days return policy with receipt and tag. So She responded to me.. no .."it is a final sale". anyways I really liked the outfit and in the top of all it was a brand new one, so I thought I my need to talk with the in store manager. It turns out she was sitting at the front desk, when I asked about a possible return of this item she stated..with a rude attitude: "It is a final sale"..I said..you should have some kind of add saying that so we know before we buy anything..she started talking so fast and din'd let me explaing what happen..any ways...at the end I asked if at last I could get a credit store and she stated with a very rude voice.."Not that is not going to be possible..even if you walked out of that door and come back 10 mts later..I wont be returning your money back..I just could belived who bad it is the customer service in this store, a kid store..and then I walked out the store with my purshase made. THis is a very bad experience for a store that relies in us to run business.BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR SURE!! more

ok prices but terrible treatment 8/18/2007

generally i have enjoyed going into kid to kid to buy things for my son, their prices are reasonable and its great when you are on a budget. however my husband and i went into the SLC store on 21st south yesterday to sell my sons "gently used" fall clothing and was utterly appalled by how we were treated by 2 of the stores employees. from the get-go, they acted "uppity" like they were better than we were. to begin with, they were very loudly complaining about how this was the longest day and they didn't want to be there (this was only at 2pm), which as a customer i found very bothersome. then, as they sorted though our clothing, they kept making and repeating rude comments like "if i wanted to buy something like THIS, I'd go to wal-mart!" as if our clothing was not "good enough" for them. for a business that relies very heavily upon recycled clothing, i would have expected the employees to at least treat us like human beings and not to have been so full of themselves. and then to finish the experience, after accepting some of our clothing, they handed us back a bag which the woman snottily referred to as "No Thank-You's." it really all in all was a rather unpleasant experience, and neither my husband nor i will ever return to the store after being treated like that. more
