I think our vet over there is the one you are referring to because he does look very young - he has never been anything but gentle with us, works us in well, etc- if he told you that you should have come by earlier it was probably the fault of whoever was supposed to pass your message along, since he obviously didn't know. I also can't even imagine him barking at someone or being so rude, but we encountered a slightly rude person at the emergency vet when our oldest dog was a puppy and it left a really horrible taste in my mouth as well - sensitivity is definitely important in a situation like that. I'm also pretty familiar with all the vets there after having taken multiple dogs there for years and have never had a problem with anyone. Our vet often calls and checks up on our dog a few days after a visit without even being asked, etc. I could understand how after such a stressful experience someone might lose faith in the clinic, but I think the stress the previous poster was under might have skewed her perception of the situation slightly. In after a number of hours you were still bleeding from being attacked by a dog, and very upset, and I had never been given a message that you had come by earlier, I would be confused, myself, as to why you didn't go to an emergency vet. Typically most dire cases are supposed to go to the emergency clinics because they are better equipped to handle emergency situations since the nature of the business is to take walkins as opposed to regularly scheduled appointments. Anyway, I highly recommend this vet; best one in terms of service and price that I've ever been to, and I've had pets all my life. more
