reply to : buyer beware He is right, there is lubricant in the cylinders. The lubricant was placed in the motor before we stored the motor. We buy only recent model cars (no after life cars) and store the motors for long periods, this is proper storage procedure. The engine is a used salvage motor over 10 years old and had a small amount of rust, which would be expected, but the longevity of the motor is not affected. We are so sure of this motor, we offered him a lifetime warranty on it, which he declined. The motor has been resold without complaint or incident and we have warranted it for lifetime and this includes an allowance for labor. This gentleman gave us a bad review because: He first wanted $550 for repairs and said it was for repairs to the motor which was his personal car and it needed the repair. We agreed to give him the money even though we did not believe it needed repair to avoid the shipping cost of return. The next day, he said it was for a customer (not his car) and he would need $750. We asked for return of the motor and we refunded his money within 24 hours of receiving the motor, which is our policy. After he shipped that motor back, he wanted another motor (different kind). We told him we could not ship to him, not because of the return, but because we were charging $250 for freight, but the real cost was $750 for freight to his location in New Mexico. He got mad, called our office lady some bad names, and wrote us up. more
