My mom had corrective eye surgery here for a cataract in her left eye. It's been about 6 months since the surgery and not much improvement and her eyes feel dryer than normal.
The staff here is not the friendliest and when we come to our appt. the wait is usually more than 30 min. The hispanic girl at the front desk is nice though, but I feel like the Asian boss lady kind of takes advantage of her and the young Asian guy there is just plain rude. I hear him speaking to the older patients in such aggressive salesmen type tone with no clue on what excellent client service is. He's sounds pushy and arrogant and I'm glad I don't go here for my glasses and eye checkup. The only reason we went here was because it was recommended/assigned by our primary physician. I should have done a more thorough search on other ppl.'s experiences.
Not only that, on the day of the surgery we were expected to pay upfront when earlier they told us that insurance was going to cover it. The office really needs to be more efficient. My mom had been doing pre-op procedures and inserting drops into her eyes for the past month to prepare for the surgery, so we had basically no choice but to fork up the bill. The way they handled it was unprofessional and totally made us feel like we were their cash cow. The doctor was just standing outside waiting for us to get our credit card charged. so unprofessional, and I wished they would have called us the day prior instead of waiting until the day of the surgery to tell us the news.
The doctor is alright. He seems nonchalant, but not in a good way even though he supposedly he got his credentials from yale? And he keeps saying to give it time to heal, which we understand, but it's been awhile now, and still not much progress. what a disappointment :( do ur research!
