My husband and I drove down to Wilmington from Raleigh and walked from the Hilton on the Riverwalk to Caffe Phoenix...WOW! From the fresh-squeezed juice cocktails to every single bite, it was a delight. The Chef must ""touch"" every single plate. We loved the eggplant bruschetta, so light and yet so flavorful! Our entrees were human sized portions, mine--fresh spinach greens, proscuitto and pasta, his-- I forget but he was equally pleased and you just have to experience this place yourself.
Don't go if you have a time constraint, however, because to have someone squeeze fresh juice into cocktails and the Chef to touch every plate, it does take time, but my God, it's worth it.
