The Food is why you should go! 8/28/2011

My husband and I drove down to Wilmington from Raleigh and walked from the Hilton on the Riverwalk to Caffe Phoenix...WOW! From the fresh-squeezed juice cocktails to every single bite, it was a delight. The Chef must ""touch"" every single plate. We loved the eggplant bruschetta, so light and yet so flavorful! Our entrees were human sized portions, mine--fresh spinach greens, proscuitto and pasta, his-- I forget but he was equally pleased and you just have to experience this place yourself. Don't go if you have a time constraint, however, because to have someone squeeze fresh juice into cocktails and the Chef to touch every plate, it does take time, but my God, it's worth it. more

Delicious and inexpensive! 4/2/2010

My boyfriend and I are from Orange County, CA and we are total foodies! We were wandering around Wilmington and we came up to this place and read the menu outside the restaurant. It sounded great so we decided to have lunch there. The food was Great!!! We got paninis with side salads and they were so flavorful yet light. It was really the perfect lunch! The turkey jack panini had a pepper aoli on it and it was a bit spicy and I loved it! The wedge salad was one of the bests I ever had! Totally recommend it! Lunch for 2 was less than $25. Great deal! Pros: Decor, menu, service Cons: Did not find any more

Great food - good atmosphere 7/6/2008

We visited Caffe Phoenix while vacationing in Wilmington, NC. Of the 4+ restaurants we tried in Wilmington, Caffe Phoenix was by far the best. The menu has great non-seafood selections (which isn't the case at most local restaurants). Based on the server's recommendation, we had the pork tenderloin over risotto and chicken marsala. Both meals were delicious - some of the best food we've ever eaten! Try a table on the balcony for great people-watching. Pros: Menu, Food, Location more

Great find in Wilmington 8/25/2006

Enjoyed a great meal and wine with clients. The menu was fairly standard - steaks, seafood, salads etc... the food quality was high, the service was excellent and the environment was perfect for entertaining. While at first glance I thought the place would be loud - lots of wood and open spaces but to my surprise it was ibcredibly quiet. The decor was traditional. The highlight - the wine list. A spectacular offering of French, Italian and California wines, perfectly matched to the cuisine. This was a great place for a few friends to meet for a casual meal or a client dinner. Pros: Wine List, Food Quality more

A Charm! 6/6/2003

Balcony and Outdoor seating, Classy diningroom, Romantic, Free parking across the street, succulent dinners. Dinner sizes small yet intense. Professional staff. Professional chefs. Will be glad to substitude, or custom make meals for people with restrictive diets. (ex: make without nuts/mayo/different sauces). I have eaten here five times, and never had bad service or food. It can get noisy, however, due to the high ceiling. Pros: Good Food, BestCityParking Cons: noisy more
