I try to go during the week if possible. On weekends they have the shelter dogs there. They are either right outside or right inside the door and for several reasons make it almost impossible to get into the store. Between the cages, the unattended children, the loud barking and the people just stopping to chat at the cages, right in the doorway. you can hardly get into the store to shop.
Also. I don't know if they are looked after by volunteers or what but one day we were up there when it was about 25 degrees out and about a 15 mile per hour wind.. The poor dogs looked like they were freezing. Told the volunteer that was cruel to the dogs when we went in the store. When we came out the volunteer was standing inside the store and the dogs were still outside. Also were several SMALL kittens outside in cages. Looked to be about 8 weeks old. Keeping kittens outside in that kind of weather is cruelty to amimals.
