I was stopped from even going into Jon's bridal by the service I received on the phone when I called to make an appointment. When I first called, the voice on the other end was very cheerful and eager to help! I was excited to go visit and find the perfect dress; however, as the brief conversation continued, I couldn't believe what I heard. As she asked me questions regarding my wedding (date, my size, etc...) we got to my budget. Since the groom and I are paying for our own wedding entirely, I have a tight budget and needed to be sensible on what I spent on a dress. Once she heard by budget of around $500, I was told that I didn't even need to make an appointment to come in that I was free to shop in the ""special"" room for discounts and clearance. WHAT?!?! Just because I am not spending $1000 plus, I don't deserve the SAME service as someone who could afford so??? I was appalled! Needless to say, I did not find my dress there....I did not even bother going! ! I have a few friends planning a wedding right now and I have most certainly let them know how they will be treated if they are on a budget! I am happy to report that they both took my advice and went elsewhere!! Proven point that it pays to be polite even on the phone. The place that I DID get my dress encouraged me to get a $99 dress! They were incredibly helpful and excited for me to find bargains in their shop!!
